Blenduk Church was built in 1753 by The Dutch.

It is the oldest church in Central Java province

Blenduk is a name given by local citizen,

which in Javanese language, means “dome”.

Actually, the real name is

Immanuel Protestant Church

of Western Indonesia.

The church is octagonal, and has a large copper dome.Inside there is a Baroque pipe organ from the 1700s,sadly, it is not working anymore.I hope to go there for Sunday service…next time I go to Semarang.
